Highly exact, non-contact automatic measurement of diameter, ovality and contour
Accuracy: 1,0 µm
Particularly developed for punch measurement in beveregae can manufacture Comparable applications are possible
PUNCHMASTER is designed for non-contact measurement of the outside diameter, roundness and contour of punches, used to manufacture beverage cans in connection with ironing rings. The measurements are made, using a fully automatic, non-contact, optical system that is software controlled and user-friendly. PUNCHMASTER is designed specifically for the manufacturing requirements of beverage-can punches. The instrument is built on a durable mechanical structure to ensure good ergonomics and problem-free operation.
Features -high measuring accuracy (0,5 µm) -compact and durable construction -measuring capabilities for diameter, contour and ovality (roundness) -contact less measurement -automatic measuring sequence -high control comfort using ergonomic software -objective and recordable measurements
-high measuring rate
The punch under test is placed manually on the precision measuring turntable by using a special mechanical adapter. The measuring turntable is stepper-motor driven. Before measurement one or more (any number) of measuring templates must be created. The software allows the operator, to add different measuring action freely to a self defined measuring sequence. This sequence is stored under a freely choosable name. To change the sequence, a new template has to be loaded. If no new template is loaded, always the same template is used.
The actions, which can be combined are:
1. diameter measurement at a defined z0-position without rotation (z0=starting point) 2. diameter measurement at a defined z0-position with rotation (z0=starting point) 3. like 1., but with movement by dz (dz=step height) 4. like 2, but with movement by dz (dz=step height) 5. diameter measurement at any z-positions without rotation
6. diameter
measurement at any z-positions with rotation
The rotation (360°) can be made in flying mode (without stops) and in step by step operation.
If measurements with rotation is choosed, the diameter is calculated as average of these measurements and the roundness is displayed as the maximum and minimum measurements (Ovality = Dmax-Dmin).
